Marc Mero is a former member of the Syracuse Stars Junior Hockey Team, a football team winner of the New York State Title under coach George O’Leary, winner of 4 New York Golden Glove Titles under the tutelage of Ray Rinaldi, a 3x WCW World Television Champion as Johnny B. Badd and a WWF (WWE) Intercontinental Champion as Marvelous Marc Mero.

As a young boy he dreamed of a better life outside of his drug and gang-infested neighborhood. He began writing down his goals and took action towards those goals, and he soon discovered success in athletics. Marc Mero admits: “My goals were sidelined when I started making bad choices which led to years of rebellion and substance abuse. Even as I gained success and fame as a professional wrestler, I continued to make choices that negatively impacted my personal life and career.”

“After witnessing the impact my friends’ choices had on their lives, and while reflecting on my own trials and successes, I knew I had a message that could make a difference in the lives of students.” Founded in 2007, Marc Mero focuses on many timely and significant challenges to students through “Champion of Choices” presentations. The Champion of Choices message is powerful, candid and moving, but ultimately, it is intended to inspire students to make the right choices and dream big.
